Listen to Our Clear Battle Call

Listen to Our Clear Battle Call, also known as The Battle Hymn of the State, is a rather contemporary song from the State of Sandus written in late 2011 by the Sôgmô. When played in its entirety, it is played to the music of the three-stanza version of the North Korean "Song of General Kim Jong-il". When played in its two-stanza formed, it is most often played to the instrumental form of the Song and the last two stanzas of the composition are sung.

Music

Listen to our clear battle call,
For when we go marching off
Into the fields for Work
Won't you remember us?, and
How we toiled for your life
And slaved for your glory?

Long Live,
Long Live,
The People's State!

And, when we go marching off
Won't you remember us?
And how we went off to war
In order to keep you?
And how we spent long years away
Away from you too long,

Long Live,
Long Live,
The People's State!

And, for that final time
When we go marching off
Won't you remember us?,
And, how we gave our lives
for your will to live
In peace and in care?

Long Live,
Long Live,
The People's State!

The Party is Our Guide

The Party is Our Guide, also known as Long Live the People's Party or simply Long Live, is a song dating from a Sandum Socialist Cultural Renaissance policies of April 2012 and was written by the Sôgmô. The composition highlights the importance of the Buddhist Dharma with the Citizens' Communist Party of Sandus, the sole guiding political party of Sandus since its foundation in May 2009. It was created as a precursor to the Spring 2012 CCPS Congress after the Party's period of inactivity under Secretary Thomson. It is sung to the music of "Hail North Korean Communist Party".

Music

The Party is our Guide,
The Party is our State.
It unites all the State
To do good for the world.
All suffering is the bane
Of the Party.
People's Party, Long Live! Long, Long Live!

The Party's Dharma,
The Party's Sangha.
It teaches us to do good
And to end suff'ring.
We are all Party Comrades
Working for that end.
People's Party, Long Live! Long Live! Long, Long Live!

The Party has guided Us
And our People's State!
It has done good for us
And we shall follow it!
The Party is the light
Leading us on.
People's Party, leading us on. Long Live! Long, Long Live!
People's Party of the State,
Grant us light!
Long Live the People's Party! Long Live! Long, Long Live!

Attaining the Cutting Edge

Developed after the North Korean song dedicated to Computer Numerical Control technology which was developed independently in Korea, this Sandum rendition of the famous and popular North Korean song reflects Sandus’ resolve to fulfil a socialist paradise set up on the basis of work, advancement, and pride in the State. It was written on 3 September 2012 to celebrate the coming Winter season of isolation and work.

Music

Lyrics:

If you set your heart on anything,
We follow progressive State policy,
Pride of the Sovereign People – following self-reliance.

Chorus:
See, you see – Party power at work!
See, you see – State advancing now!
Following State Flag,
Gaining the Cutting Edge, and Working for People’s Weal!

Ah very good, Ah good, Sandus’s victory!
Let’s build a Progressive State,
Happiness shines down on us!

Preparing for the Armilustrium,
Winter improves State Policy
And advances Socialist Livelihood – following self-reliance.

The Flag Still Waves

Inspired by the short final tune at the end of the Le Secessio Concert MMXII, we thought you would enjoy this complete song of our country. It is entitled The Flag Still Waves and grew out of the brillant manifestation of Libera and its power displayed by the Concert. Its tune is derived from that of the Song of Kim Il-Sung and contains three stanzas but has a very different purpose.

The Sandum song glorifies the Sandum State Flag, notes the cultural symbol, and signifies its use as both a reminder and a rallying point.

Music

Lyrics:
The Flag over all of us still waves free,
The Light of Libera still brightens our paths.
Who dares to threaten our sovereign land?
We shall forever keep it free.

Ah, so dear to us is our Flag!
Ah, forever it shall wave in all our hearts!

The Flag pushed away the maelstrom of suffering,
The Flag lit our hearts for a free Sandus.
To the Flag, we pledge loyalty,
Symbol of the work of the People!

Ah, this Tricolour still waves on -
Ah, the symbol of hope of the entire nation!

In this world of dark, the Flag is our torch:
Throughout the difficulties, the Flag guides us on.
Suffering divided by Hope,
Fly on, symbol of our compassion!

Ah, so dear to us is our Flag!
Ah, forever it shall wave in all our hearts!

We Sandum People

We Sandum People was the national anthem of the Territory of Sandus, St.Charlie and is now a patriotic song in the State. It is sung to the music of Miy Belarusy, the anthem of Belarus. It was first adopted under the Barony of Sandus and has been used since as the anthem of the Territory and now a patriotic song in the State of Sandus. There exist two versions: the formal, national anthem version sung to the four-stanza instrumental of Miy Belarusy and the more recent, patriotic song version sung to the six-stanza instrumental of the State Anthem of the Byelorussian SSR.

Former Anthems of the Governor of Sandus

March of the Governor

This anthem, similar to the tradition of royal anthems of such nations as Sweden, Norway and Denmark, was used within Sandus and St.Charlie as the anthem for the Governor of Sandus. It was less often sung and listened to only with the music, which is a former Soviet Football March. This March was used only in Sandus and St.Charlie and is a ceremonial anthem for the Governor. For the anthem of the Governor used in foreign states, see: Arise, My Muse.

Music

We stand by our Elected Governor,
Keeper of this Realm,
The elected voice of our People.
Glory to Our Country,
Glory to Our People,
And Our Governor,
elected by the People.
Long Live Our Country
By the Will of Our People
Glory to He,
Who is the Governor of this Land;
By the Grace of the People
Long May He Reign
And by the Grace of the Gods
Long May He Reign!

Arise, My Muse

Arise, My Muse is an Ode written by Henry Purcell for Mary, Queen of Scots, in 1690. It was adopted by Sandus to serve as the anthem for the Governor when represented or in ceremonies in foreign states or nations. This anthem, when played, was restricted to the Symphony of the Ode. This anthem of the Governor's has no sung words and was used only to present the elected governor of Sandus and the Sandum people.
