Codru Negru, formerly known as Morea Silvica, is Vlasynia's newest province, situated just north of Bucharest. It is comprised of 3 Districts, with the Tunari Minor District being entirely covered by forest. It shares land borders with Romania to the north, east and west, while to the south it is separated from the Codru Alb and Codru Verde Provinces by Centura București (English: Bucharest Beltway, Bucharest Ring Road). Its capital is District No. 100.
History
Morea Silvica was initially established on 26 March 2021, after the Gorun, Tabirna-Tunari and Adelaid Districts (currently named the "Gorun", "Morea-Tunari" and "No. 100" Districts, respectively) were detached from Orientalis and were reorganized into their own Province.
On 30 June 2021, the province was renamed to "Codru Negru", while the Morea-Tunari district was also renamed to "Tunari Minor".
