The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs (Hindi: कैबिनेट कार्य मंत्रालय) is a ministry in the government of Vishwamitra which is responsible for handling affairs related to the union cabinet and the union council of ministers. The ministry was established for the first time on 10 July 2016 by then Prime Minister Dhrubajyoti Roy as a new ministry of the government and it continued to be one of the most important portfolios of the government until its dissolution in 2019 with the further creation of the Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs, which too was dissolved in the next few months. The ministry was re-created on 10 July 2021, five years from its initial creation in 2016.
The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs is headed by the Minister of Cabinet Affairs which is a cabinet rank minister and is occassionally assisted by a junior minister or the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs. The first minister was Dhrubajyoti Roy, while the current minister is Michal Nowacki who has been into office since 10 July 2021.
The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs was abolished in 2019 and was replaced by the Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs, which too ceased to exist by March 2021. The ministry was re-created by Prime Minister Ștefan Marius Snagoveanu on 10 July 2021.
