The Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage (Spanish: Ministerio de Artes, Cultura y Patrimonio) is a ministry responsible for the promotion and preservation of the country's cultural and artistic works. It is also responsible for the administration of the national historical archive.
Functions
The ministry has the following functions:
- Establishes policies and regulations that seek to preserve the culture, popular traditions and heritage of the nation.
- Promotes cultural, artistic and literary activities in order to encourage the national culture.
- Manages the historical archive of the nation.
