List of Princian royal elections

This article lists every royal election held within the Princian Commonwealth to elect a monarch who will assume the title of prince or princess, with their immediate family becoming the royal family. Princia's monarchy, from its foundation in June 2017, has historically been hereditary - but following increased political campaigning by the People's Party & Princian Party of Socialists and the 2022 Princian monarchy referendum, it was concluded by the previous hereditary prince, Joshua I, that the best option for the people of Princia would be to choose a monarch by means of a monthly election. It was anticipated, due to the high number of votes in support of the monarchy in the 2022 Princian monarchy referendum, that the then-hereditary prince will easily win re-election as Princia's first elected prince. The first royal election to be held was in conjunction with the twentieth unitary election and third economic election, held together as the first Princian tri-election on 2 September 2022. The Princian monarchy, unlike many constitutional monarchies, retains supreme power over the nation (although this is rarely used by Prince Joshua) and as such there are a number of restrictions regarding election to the post: candidates are banned from campaigning for votes, public figures or organisations are banned from showing support for any candidate, and candidates are banned from joining or associating themselves with any political party or organisation. The only form of political campaigning permitted is the announcement of candidacy.
