The Latin American Institute of Micropatriology (LAIM; Portuguese: Instituto Latino-Americano de Micropatriologia; ILAM) was a micropatriological organisation and research institute founded before October 1998. Headquartered in Annestaadt, Republic of Orange, it published the Portuguese-language Conventions of the LAIM (Portuguese: As Convenções Do Ilam) in October 1998 which attempted to standardise micronational classifications, the word macronation and the modern spelling of micropatriology with an i in the Lusophone sector among other things. It is regarded by micropatriologist Zabëlle Skye as an important document that contains the earliest attested uses of micropatriology and derivitism according to his Micronational Dictionary.
