History
Predecessors
Since c. 2014, Stalmanndorf has made a lot of changes to both the nation and the government.
Harryville
Around 2014, King Stalmann's first idea to create a country was called Harryville. Without a lot of knowledge on how countries work, Stalmann set up a weak absolute monarchy and made maps of the nation without ever knowing exactly where in the world Harryville was actually located. The location shifted around from Greenland, to Iceland, the western coast of Otago, the Canadian provinces of British Colombia and the Yukon Territory, and various islands in the Bering Sea. Harryville had four provinces: Aero City, Bordbine, New Breckenridge, and Pennville. The capital of Harryville was Bordbine, which was located in the Bordbine Province.
Harryville also had a language of its own. The language was almost the same as English grammar wise, but the words were all different. It also used the Harryvillian script which was an alphabet based off of the Latin script.
Landderstall
Landerrstall is the successor of Harryville. Landderstall was a little more organized in government, but not much. The main difference between Harryville and Landderstall was the flag and locations. New locations of Landderstall were Alaska, Iowa, and Rakiura or Stewart Island in New Zealand.
Obermaiselstein
By 2017 Stalmann had his firm ideals down about what a country should be made of, he just never settled with a flag, a name, or a location. Stalmann had always loved the Alpine states and the German language, and they were always a part of all of the countries found by Stalmann. With Obermaiselstein, Stalmann wanted to create a country that actually was located in the alps. Settled in the Alps on the border of Austria and Germany, Stalmann wanted to create a nation from the small town of Obermaiselstein.
Alpland
For more creative freedom, Stalmann decided to move the location of Obermaiselstein to the Austrian side of the border and rename the nation to Alpland. Alpland means "Alpine Country" in German.
- None of the locations named above were actually settled, they were only planned to be settled in the future.
Flag Referendum
In June 2020, the Stalish Volksdag proposed changing the flag. The proposition, was to keep the same design, but change the colors to blue and gold, the official colors of Stalmanndorf. The referendum lasted a week, and on the 12th of June, 2020, Volksdag voted to pass the bill.
Politics
The Government is located in Alpenberg, the country's largest city and capital. Stalmanndorf became a Unitary, parliamentary constitutional monarchy through the constitution of 2019.
The head of state is the monarch. The chairman of the Nordic Socialist government is the Prime Minister, who is appointed by the parliament members of said party. The chairman of the Stalmannist government is the Chancellor, who is appointed by the parliament members of the Stalmannist party. The monarch, prime minister, and chancellor each have a seat in reserved in parliament. Citizens vote for the other 6 members of parliament, at least one member from each of the official parties of Stalmanndorf must have at least one member, if only one member from a party is elected, he/she will be the chairman of that party. The members of parliament will then choose a chairman for their own party, (All the Stalmannists will choose a chancellor and all the Nordic Socialists must choose a prime minister). Members of the royalist party cannot choose a chairman, because their's is the king. The chairman of the party with the most seats in parliament is considered the head of government and has power because of his support in parliament. The king is considered the head of state and no matter his support in parliament and will always have the most power (the king is able to be both head of state and head of government), as he can send a law to be voted on without approval from parliament, where the head of government must get approval from both the king and parliament to send a law to voting, and the chairman of the party with the least amount of power cannot create a law and he possesses the same power as the other parliament members. Any citizen or parliament member can suggest a law by giving it to the head of government. Another power the king has over the head of government is that he sole person to be able to add or take away an amendment to the constitution. Any citizens or parliament members wishing to add or get rid of an amendment to the constitution must consult the king.
Official parties of Stalmanndorf
The government of Stalmanndorf allows new parties to be created, but any party that is not the Royalist Party, Nordic Social Party, or Stalmannist Party cannot have a seat reserved in parliament. The three front row seats of parliament must have one member of each party states the constitution.

Nordic Social Party | Prime Minister | Vacant | Left | 0 / 9

The Stalmannist Party | Chancellor | Vacant | Center | 0 / 9
|
The Royalist Party
The Royalist Party believes that the monarch and royal family should hold all of the power and make all of the nation's decisions. The members of parliament usually vote for bills that are made by the monarch, that support the monarch, or increase the monarch's power.
The Nordic Social Party
The Nordic Social Party refers to the Nordic Model with a left wing economic structure.
The Stalmannist Party
By far the most complex political model in Stalmanndorf. Stalmannism is a political system where the citizens get to choose how much they get taxed, but government services increase or decrease based on how much they choose to pay. If someone chooses the option of paying the highest amount to the state, he will get most government services for free, if a citizen chooses the option to pay the least amount of taxes, he will have to pay for most government services.

Geography
Sitting at roughly 47° N and 9.5° E, Stalmanndorf is nestled in the very center of Europe.
Stalmanndorf is settled in the Rätikon mountain range, which is part of the Alps. The Rätikon range is considered to part of the Central Eastern Alps. The mountains are large and rocky because they are made of limestone.
The border around Stalmanndorf is very small, because of its small area. The total length of the border is 9.5 km (6 miles). This small border length is the 3rd smallest in the world (not including island states), being only larger than Vatican City and Monaco.
Stalmanndorf is the world's only triply landlocked country (of recognized states, unknown among micronations) — a country wholly surrounded by one doubly landlocked and other landlocked states. If recognized, Stalmanndorf would be the third-smallest independent nation in the world by area.
Administrative divisions
Stalmanndorf is divided into 2 duchies . The duchies split Stalmanndorf in half, each duchy having the same amount of land area. The duchies have governments, but the governments have little power, they mostly oversee maintenance of public land, promote tourism, and provide organization in census time. Each duchy is run by a duke, appointed by the head of the party with the most seats in parliament (the King, Chancellor, or Prime Minister). Each duchy is home to a different amount of municipalities. Municipalities consist of two or three different towns and one city being the "municipal seat". Municipalities are subject to change when new towns are added or upgraded to city status.

Towns, Cities, and Municipalities
Municipalities consist of two or three different towns and one city being the "municipal seat". Municipalities are subject to change when new towns are added or upgraded to city status.
Alpenberg is home to two of the nation's three municipalities: Municipality of Alpenberg and the Municipality of Ausgangspunkt, the municipal seat of each municipalities share the respective name.
Unterberg has one municipality, the Municipality of Flåsstadt with the municipal seat being the city of Flåsstadt.
Municipalities have no power, they are used solely for organizational purposes. Cities and towns carry the same amount of power, but to be named a city, a town has to reach certain infrastructure requirements. After a town is upgraded to a city, it must leave its current municipality, as each municipality can only hold one city. Cities and towns have an elected mayor and volunteer law enforcement. The mayor is elected during national election time and law enforcement volunteers sign up on the first day of each month. If a town doesn't have the population to support a mayor or law enforcement volunteers, a town or city of the same municipality may send people over to the town. The governing job of a mayor is really the same as a duke's, just to the smaller scale of maintaining a city/town instead of a duchy.
Below are a list of cities and towns.

Language
The Stalish Language is a state official languages along with German and Swedish, but Stalish is the native language of Stalmanndorf. The Stalish language is not an official language in any other country (micro or macro) or organization. Because its so young, Stalish has no official speakers, but it has one official speaker. Any one who speaks both German and Swedish could be considered a speaker of Stalish.
Stalish is a Germanic language, closely related to German and Swedish, and they are mutually intelligible. Stalish writes in the Stalish version of the Latin Script, which used the 26 standard letters and the letters Ää, Åå, Ææ, Ǣǣ, Öö, Őő, Üü, and Ýý are added.
Currently, Stalish is divided into to main dialects, Standard Stalish and Unterstalish (Ånterstalish), Unterstalish is very similar in vocabulary, but is very different in pronunciation. Standard Stalish and Unterstalish have such different pronunciation that it can be hard to understand a speaker of the other dialect. Unterstalish and Swedish speakers understand each other better, because the Swedish system of pronunciation has more influence on the way Unterstalish is spoken. German speakers have an easier time understanding Standard Stalish speakers, and have much more difficulty understanding Unterstalish speakers. Swedish speakers can easily understand Standard Stalish speakers because they speak slower, clearer, and more enunciated.
King H. Stalmann is the main promoter and sole speaker of Stalish. He has created the Stalish Cultural Society to help maintain the culture of Stalmanndorf. The Stalish Cultural Society is currently completing a phrasebook for Stalish.
