Neithland is a project of ancient egyptian cultural nation building through micronationalism, created to promote arts, research, literature, art and human sciences.

For its humanistic vocation, Neithland makes a symbolic claim on the settlement of Sais, Greek name of the capital of the nomo V of Lower Egypt, which since 1997, after a long period of abandonment, is the subject of archaeological studies.

Etymology

The name of the micronation has its origin in the goddess Neith, considered the creator of the cosmos, destiny, wisdom, water, rivers, mothers, childbirth, hunting, weaving and war, patroness of what was once the capital of Lower Egypt, whom the ancient Greeks associated with Athena.

Symbols

The flag of Neithland is composed mainly of the color red, representing the Deshret (Red Land) of Ancient Egypt, with a black stripe in the center, representing the Kemet (Black Land). Above the black stripe, a shield with two arrows, characteristic elements from the most remote antiquity of the goddess Neith, the shield crowned and bordered by laurel.

History

  • The Constitution of Neithland was adopted on January 5, 2022.
  • On January 9, 2022, in the Micronational reactions to the 2022 Kazakhstan Protests, the Kingdom of Neithland defended the constitutional order in force in Kazakhstan, unreservedly condemns foreign interference by NATO and the sponsorship of Islamic terrorists to destabilize countries bordering Russia.
  • On January 15, 2022, His Imperial Majesty Pharaoh Adom has decreed the creation of the Neithland Egyptian Studies Society, to continue the recovery of ancient traditions.

Government

The system of government in Neithland is the constitutional monarchy. It is a political regime designed for long-term stability and to avoid disputes over political issues, with the Crown playing a special role in arbitrating and resolving disagreements between possible currents in the micronation. Thus, unlike most European monarchies of today, in Neithland the role of the Crown is decisive in the routine of government and is not just symbolic.

Pharaoh Adom

The Pharaoh reigns within the limits established in the Constitution, being the one who arbitrates to resolve disagreements between the different powers of Neithland, as well as the one who represents the micronation in foreign relations. He exercises the supreme command in the Medjay Forces (national security forces). The Pharaoh is also the one who grants or revokes citizenship, and who, through his signature, puts into effect any law or treaty or repeals them.

Vizier

The main functions of the Vizier are to supervise the ordinary tasks of the Government, ensure that the Constitution and laws are correctly applied, supervise national security, keep a register of active citizens and criminal records, appoint scribes who can assist him in his work, manage the state archives and official publications in all national media.

Justice

The Kenbets are responsible for administering justice in each nomos, on behalf of the Pharaoh and always with his consent in the decisions taken. The most serious cases of treason, physical assault, theft or fraud in state institutions, breach of oath or promise are referred to the Great Kenbet.

Kenbets and Great Kenbet

The Kenbet are the chambers of representatives established in each sepat (province), responsible for administering the Legislative Power in the name and with the previous authorization of the Pharaoh. They can propose decrees to the Pharaoh. The Kenbet are formed by two candidates who receive the majority of votes in their sepat by citizens over eighteen years of age with the right to vote.

The Great Kenbet is the chamber of representatives of all Neithland, with four members, being the most voted from among the candidates elected by all citizens over eighteen years of age with the right to vote.

Scribe Corps

The corps of scribes consists of officials appointed by the Pharaoh for specific functions related to the national archives, culture or outreach.

The Vizier may also appoint scribes to assist him in his duties.

Culture

The Neithland Egyptian Studies Society is responsible for research to recover the most ancient Egyptian traditions and have them preserved in Neithland.
