The Kingdom of Leafavenia, formerly the Republic of Leafavenia is a micronation founded by Brycen Dillon on 22 September 2019. Since it's creation, the State of Malinovia and the young republic have had a complicated relationship, being in a war, making Leafavenia into a puppet state briefly, until finally agreeing to have the greater State of Malinovia protect the young micronation from danger.

The name "Leafavenia", according to Brycen Dillon, was "pulled out of my *ss". It was chosen at random while allegedly being thought up during a conversation about the US state of Pennsylvania.
The first people known to inhabit the area of Leafavenia were the Choctaw Indian Tribe who lived in the American southeast for roughly 1,800 years, between 25 AD to 1830. The Choctaws are original people of the American southeast, particularly Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Florida. Most Choctaws were forced to move to Oklahoma in the 1800s along the Trail of Tears. Their descendants live in Oklahoma today. Some Choctaws escaped by hiding or pretending to be white, and descendants of these people are still living in the original Choctaw homelands. Leafavenia today borrows many aspects of Choctaw civilization, such as the belief that males and females have individual responsibilities and building walls around their towns.
The Choctaw people lived in settled villages of houses and small cornfields. Choctaw homes were made of plaster and rivercane walls, with thatched roofs. These dwellings were about as strong and warm as log cabins. Most Choctaw towns also had a ball field with benches for spectators. If a Choctaw village was near the border, it often had reinforced walls around it for protection.
Choctaw men wore breechcloths. Choctaw women wore wraparound skirts made of deerskin or woven fiber. Shirts were not necessary for Choctaw culture, but men and women both wore poncho-style capes in cool weather. The Choctaws also wore moccasins on their feet. Later, the Choctaws adapted European costumes like cloth jackets and full skirts. The Choctaws didn't wear long headdresses like the Sioux. Instead, men and women both wore their hair long, but some men cut their hair in the Mohawk style, decorating the fringe with feathers. Choctaws often painted their faces and bodies bright colors during battles, lacrosse games, and festivals. Some Choctaw men also wore tribal tattoos on their arms and legs.
The Choctaws were famous for their rivercane baskets and woodcarvings. When they were forced to move to Oklahoma, the Choctaws couldn't get the materials they used to use for some of their traditional artifacts, so they concentrated more on other crafts such as American Indian beadwork.
Roles of the people
Choctaw men were hunters and sometimes went to war to protect their families. Choctaw women were farmers and also did most of the childcare and cooking. Both genders took part in storytelling, artwork and music, and traditional medicine. In the past, the chief was always a man, but today a Choctaw woman can be chief, too.
The Pensacola Indians were a Native American people who lived in the western part of what is now the Florida Panhandle and eastern Alabama for centuries before the first contact with Europeans until early in the 18th century. They spoke a Muskogean language. They are the source of the name of the "Pensacola Bay" and the city of Pensacola. They lived in the area until the mid-18th century but were thereafter assimilated into other groups.
The Leafavenian Declaration of Independence was written by President Brycen Dillon on 8 September 2019 but didn't come into effect until two weeks later on the 22nd. Oddly, Leafavenian Independence Day is celebrated on the 23rd rather than the 22nd. This is because this is the day the State of Malinovia officially recognized the independence of the nation after the short Joke War, being the first nation to agree to recognition.
The Joke War
The Joke War was a short war fought between young Leafavenia and the State of Malinovia over a small territory dispute. The war ended in a matter of minutes, being primarily fought with Nerf guns and toy plastic swords. During peace talks, President Dillon agreed to make Leafavenia into a protectorate of Malinovia, while at the same time the Malinovian government agreed to let Leafavenia run their affairs and recognized the independence of the nation. Many outside observers have called Leafavenia a "puppet state" of Malinovia, however, both leaders have publicly stated that this is not the case.

The government system in Leafavenia is a dictatorship, however, it is officially a "Full Presidential Republic". In Leafavenia, the President is mostly all-powerful, while still giving up some of his duties and responsibilities to the Prime Minister such as advising the President on important decisions and running the Discord server.
The presidential elections are held every year in December, to elect a new president. The elections use a popular voting system which is divided into 2 electoral precincts. Each precinct has the same amount of people. Each precinct nominates 2 people who are running for a position and, within the precinct, a popular vote is held. The winner of the popular vote in each precinct then moves on to the national election, which is held a bit differently. Each precinct votes per candidate and the one that gets the most votes within the precinct "wins it". If there is a tie, the Prime Minister chooses the winner. So theoretically, in a presidential election, a candidate who gets fewer votes could win.
Judicial elections also called "Midterm elections" are held twice a year; once in January and once in July. The purpose of this election is to find the new Chief Justice. Similar to the presidential elections, the judicial elections work using the same popular vote system. However, instead of being divided into precincts, each region nominates two candidates to be elected. As with the presidential elections, the person who gets more votes wins. National elections work a bit differently. The candidates, during national elections, aren't elected by the people but rather chosen by the Prime Minister. Out of the candidates, the Prime Minister chooses two who he thinks will make the best replacement for the incumbent, then sends his choices off to the President who concludes the election by choosing only one candidate to take the office.
The Court System is staffed by the Chief Justice, who's position (as of 2019) is filled by the Prime Minister. Any crimes committed automatically be prosecuted by the National High Court in which the Chief Justice is the head of.
There are three things to see in Leafavenia. First, The Tree of Peace, which is by far the tallest structure in Leafavenia at over 120 feet, Sapphire Square, the main cultural center of the nation, and the Alexander S. Douglas Monument, dedicated to British computer scientist Alexander Sandy Douglas, who is famous for inventing a computer that plays perfect games of tic-tac-toe against a human opponent.
The Tree of Peace
The Tree of Peace is a 120-foot tall oak tree located in Brysencia. Roughly 1 meter in diameter, people in the area have dated the tree back to the 1700s, meaning it is the oldest object in Leafavenia.
Sapphire Square is one of two man-made structures in the nation, made up of two plastic sun loungers and a makeshift fire pit. The place is roughly 3 meters in diameter and is the widest structure in the nation.
Alexander S. Douglas Monument
The Alexander S. Douglas Monument is the other man-made structure in Leafavenia, consisting of randomly placed sticks. The monument is no more than 6 inches in height, meaning it is the shortest object in Leafavenia apart from all the leaves on the ground.
