King James II is the present reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Aspen, his reign began on 27 November 2018 upon the creation of the Aspen Empire. The first few years reign has been characterized by government instability and a number of scandals. Since the October reforms of 2020, the king has reigned as King of the Aspens as opposed to Aspen Emperor.
