James IV (born 26 May 1976) is the reigning monarch of the Royal Commonwealth of Appalachia, and head of the House of Moselle. He is the son of Charles III, King of Appalachia, and the Waltish Princess, Cynthia. His siblings are Charles, Prince of Luther, and Princess Josephine Christina, Maid of Pottstown. In September 2000, then Crown Prince James married Natalia Tocchetti, the Crown Princess of Etalia, another micronation.
James was born in Pennsylvania. He was christened at the Royal Chapel on 7 June 1976 by the Archbishop of Appalachia. Prince James was also given the title of the Duke of Potts. His fatherwas Crown Prince Charles.
Prince James was the oldest of three children and the first son of Appalachia's Crown Prince Charles and Princess Cynthia.
After graduating from high school, the Crown Prince completed two and a half years of education in the Royal Appalachian Academy. He has also completed his academic studies in economics at Clarion University. In 1995, when the prince was nineteen, his great grandfather Charles II abdicate, and he ascended to Crown Prince.
To prepare for his role as the Head of State, Crown Prince followed a broad program of studies on the court system, social organizations and institutions, trade unions, and employers' associations. In 2000, the Crown Prince married Crown Princess Natalia of Etalia, with the birth of their son, Prince Andrew coming in 2003. In 2005, his father, Charles III, abdicated, making James the king of Appalachia.
