Military service
Joost committed treason of the highest degree when he started a civil war, and attacked President Zarel Smith in his office. The President quickly grabbed a wooden sword and defended himself by hitting Joost in the leg. Joost was suspended as Supreme General for one month.

Joost was awarded the Order of the Lion in May 2019 for his bravery and contribution in politics.
Political career
Joost established the Yellow Party and the Socialist Yellow Party on 12 September 2018. Joost dissolved the Socialist Yellow Party on 24 December, one day before the end of the 2018 General Election. In an interview, Joost stated "I dissolved the Socialist Yellow Party because I simply changed my political views. The Yellow Party will now be my main party." Following the dissolution of the Socialist Yellow Party, the Socialist Scandinavian Party gained all four of its seats after a parliament vote. This was decided since it was the only other socialist party at the time.
