Imperium Park
Imperium Park is a park in Nahona, dedicated to recreation and to the appreciation of Austenasian and Imperial history through temporary and permanent outdoor artworks. The park is home to the Imperium Monument, which is composed of the Columna Passus Imperatori and the Vallum Austenum. The park as a whole was designated a national monument on 28 July 2021.
Imperium Park is located in the Borough of Zweiwasser, in the Town of Nahona. It is 13 feet, 8 inches long from East to West and 10 feet, 6 inches wide from South to North. The park is comprised of four defined areas. In the southeast corner is a circular seating and rest area of a 3 foot, six inch radius. Directly west of the seating area is a 4x4 foot area used for temporary art exhibits. North of the seating and temporary art area is the permanent art area which runs east to west for 10 feet and is 1 foot wide. Currently, the only permanent exhibit is the Columna Passus Imperatori. On the north and east side of the park is the Vallum Austenum, which is 16 inches wide and extends for 10 feet east and 7 feet south.
The plans for Imperium Park began on 13 May 2020, when the limestone for Columna Passus Imperatori had arrived. Nearing the completion of the artwork, two residents on 5 June to begin clearing an area to become Imperium Park. The ground was first broken on 8 June in an area south of a residence in Nahona. The materials for the Vallum Austenum were fully gathered by 18 July either from being originally quarried in Nahona or from charity from the Texas Department of Transportation following the reinforcement of the Dilly Shaw Tap road bridge spanning Cedar Creek. The first stone was laid on 24 July and the wall was completed by 16 September. The Columna Passus Imperatori was completed on 8 June and was placed in its current display area at the inner corner of the Vallum Austenum on 17 September. The area comprising the park would continue to be periodically cleared and maintained. The ground of the entire area was leveled on 26 July 2021. The replacement of Bahia with Saint Augustine grass began 3 August 2020 and is expected to be complete by April 2022. The seating and rest area is planned to be leveled with either red brick or red paving stones by July 2022. Inquiries from local Texan artists have been made inquiries concerning commissions for the permanent display area, as well as asking quotes on the costs of using the temporary display area. On 15 December 2022 the Columna Passus Imperatori was approved as a micronational heritage site by the Grand Unified Micronational Heritage Council.
