The Imperial Army of Millania (Spanish: Ejército Imperial de Millánia) is the land military force of Millania and the largest and oldest service branch of the Armed Forces of Millania. It is responsible for carrying out land-based military operations along with the Marine Infantry Corps (Infantería de Marina) and for protecting the Millanian Empire against domestic or foreign threats.
The modern Millanian Army has its roots in the Millanian Common Armed Militia (Ejército de los Comuneros), which was formed on 16 October 2017 – before the establishment of the present day Millania – to defend the provisional government at the time. After the Millanian Declaration of Independence, Emperor Santiago Ramá I created the Greater Granadine Army, to replace the disbanded Common Militia.
Structure
The Millanian Army is structured into three levels. The bottom level is the Platoon, headed by a Liutennant. Each Platoon consists of three soldiers. The next level is the Tercio (or Battalion in the auxiliary commands), headed by a Lieutenant Colonel. Each Battalion consists of three Platoons. The top level is the Regiment, headed by a Colonel. Each Regiment consists of three Battalions.
The Signalmen & Engineers Command and the Cybernetic Command are both composed of members of other units who have specialized abilities that prove useful. Neither command has its own dedicated personnel.
