The original name of the House was "House of Imvrassia"; due to strong Roman heritage, this was changed and the new name come from the Roman Emperor John III and this action had multiple interpretations and meanings. On 9 January 2021, an imperial degree was issued by Emperor Aggelos wanting to honor the said ruler with values and principles that endure over time, while at the same time emphasizing their origin from the same region as this ruler, as well as the political and cultural succession of the Roman state as this ruler maintained during his reign. The official style includes various elements, such as religious, as the monarch is referred to as a Faithful, i.e. he protects the dominant religion of the state. Reference is also made to the origin of the title of the Roman emperor, who comes from Imvrassia, as well as to the honorary title of Augustus. On 23 June 2016 Argadia, which was a Crown land, gained independence in order to unite with the Karno-Ruthenian Empire. The then King of Imvrassia, Aggelos I, assumed the title of the Duke of Argadia and create a new state within Karnia-Ruthenia, as the result of the historic friendship between Imvrassia and Ruthenia. The Duchy of Argadia became independent on 8 May 2020 and on 15 May 2020 proclaimed to the status of a Kingdom in personal union with Imvrassia. The personal union last until 24 October 2020 when Argadia was annexed into Imvrassia.
On 7 August 2018 at the territory of the former Town of Ionisia was created the Archontia of Ionisia, as a self-governing entity. On 25 July 2019 Ionisia proclaimed to the status of a Kingdom, but on 26 September 2019 was annexed into Imvrassia as a Province.
The Kingdom of Temiria was founded on 1 January 2022 and claims the political and cultural heritage of Timeria. The Government of the Kingdom through the Declaration of the Independence offer the Throne to Emperor Aggelos and a personal union between the two states was formed. On 20 March 2022 Temiria with Anvurna, Marenia and Ardamia formed a new State under the name Kingdom of Tarevia. After the unification Temiria become a constituent country of Tarevia.
The Kingdom of Tarevia was founded on 20 March 2022 and its Government offer the Throne to the Imvrassian Emperor Aggelos on 4 April 2022 and a personal union between the two states was formed.
On 1 July 2022 Emperor Aggelos issued a Chrysobull, wanting to emphasize the pre-arhaic, arhaic and classical Greek historical background of the State and proceeded to the nominal re-establishment of the kingdoms of Ionisia and Argadia. The said kingdoms took their names from the ancient tribe of the Ionians and a division of them the Argadeis and they took under their nominal authority certain provinces, without however had theirs institutions, special privileges, or autonomy. With a new Chrysobull on 25 December 2022, the nominal kingship was abolished and replaced by two new dynastic titles of the dignity of Sebastokrator. The Crown awarded the title of Sebastokrator of Ionisia to Co-Emperor Stamatios, while Co-Empress Aikaterini was awarded the title of Sebastokrateira of Argadia.
On 27 February 2023 Emperor Aggelos issued a new Chrysobull of the Kingdoms, wanting the Crown to emphasize the pre-archaic - archaic - classical Greek and Roman historical background of the State and proceeded to the nominal establishment of the kingdoms of Thracia and Rhomanisia. The said kingdoms took their names from the area of origin of the Vatazides and from a compound word with reference to Rome and by extension to the name of Rhomania. The Kingdom of Thracia includes the province of Odrysia, without any special privilege or autonomy. The Kingdom of Rhomanisia includes the kingdoms of Ionisia, Argadia and Thracia, as they are possessions of the House of the Vatazides. At the same time, two new dynastic titles were created. One of the dignity of Sebastokrator while the second acquired a higher value, as the Hellenistic title of Great King was adopted for all the possessions of the Imperial House.
On 16 April 2023, on the day of the Orthodox Easter, Emperor Aggelos issued a new Chrysobull and change the dynastic titles of Sebastokrator to that of Hegemon (from Ancient Greek ἡγεμών - hēgemṓn, “a leader”, from ἡγέομαι - hēgéomai, “to lead”), as it is etymologically closer to the nominal jurisdiction of the title holders. Also with the same Chrysobull Caesar Stamatios was awarded the title of Hegemon of Thracia while his previous titles were abolished. On 25 November 2023 the Privy Council decided to abolish the dynastic title of the emperor, on the grounds that his official and simple titles cover the highest authority within the state and he has no need for any special title. On 14 February 2024 with Chrysobull it was decided to transform the dynastic title of the Hegemon of Argadia into a monarchical one, and the provinces that belonged to the nominal kingdom of Argadia were granted as the Hegemony of Argadia to Co-Empress Aikaterini.
