History of Bepistan
Independence and Early Days
The Kingdom of Bepistan officially declared independence on October 5, 2018. The nation was created by KomradeDoge with some help from Russel Gilzem, who introduced KomradeDoge to the concept of micronations. A flag was soon made and a simple government system was established.
Beginning of Overseas Expansion and Departments
On January 25, 2019, it was decided that the kingdom should extend its claims to overseas lands. Aluminiy was first overseas district chosen.
Around the same time, Bepistan was beginning to slightly grow in activity compared to the last months. A plan was made to open government “departments” similar to those of Auvenum in hopes of increasing activity even more.
On February 5, 2019, Bepistan expanded once more. The kingdom gained Canarsie Pol and other Jamaica Bay islands Staten Island’s abandoned railroads, and three other locations of significance to the king in the Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. These locations were Datcha, Dvor, and Petomnik. The newly acquired territories in Russia became a major agricultural and food production site in the kingdom, most notably exporting fruits and vegetables, and pickled and preserved foods.
Beginning of Railroad Annexation
On February 22, 2019, KomradeDoge and Jay Clover set out to explore the seldom used Bay Ridge branch of the Long Island Railroad. A clandestine path up to the railway was found behind some material silos and a private junction for plastics plant. Bepistan annexed the entire line, spanning from Sunset Park to Astoria, on the spot. This event would soon lead to Bepistan acquiring more and more railroads.
Relations with Auvenum Decline
Around mid-April 2019, personal conflicts between Doge, Clover, and Gilzem would soon start to arise.
