The Guild of Micronations Votes, colloquially known as the GoMV is a cooperative made up of 5 member states including the Imperial Republic of Alexandria, Infernum, Ratdokstan, Senouse, and Moose Land. These five nations are motivated by the ideals of democracy, prosperity, and integrated immigration.

History

The GoMV was created in May 2020 in an attempt by the leaders of the five member countries to get votes for their nations during a school assignment. After many failed attempts to create a group of codependent nations over a humanities period the nation of Senouse decided to create a smaller coalition of nations. Three of the four other nations were contacted and a meeting was scheduled. At the established meeting time the fifth nation of Infernum joined the guild. A majority of the rules and purpose of the guild, outside of being a vote stunt, has yet to be decided and may very well never be.

History of The Flag

The flag of GoMV symbolizes the sovereignty of each respective nation whilst illustrating the solidity of the alliance between the guild. The blue represents peace, while the red represents strength.

Etymology

The name of the Guild derives from its use as a way to unite micronations around their need for votes.

Immigration

As a way to entice votes from a larger pool of people, all five member nations do not issue individual citizenship. Instead they recognize a collective Guild citizenship that is recognized in all five countries. Benefits besides the pooling votes include a smoother trade between countries and the establishment of an international community of like minded countries. Government Although the Guild's headquarters in the IRA is only for summits, treaties and the like, all member nations are required to have some kind of democratic government. All decisions made in the headquarters must be unanimous.

Financial and Economic Structure

Despite the diversity of major industries, all countries contained within the Guild use a silver standard for their monetary systems. This commodity based financial system promotes stability and independence among smaller nations. The system contains two main units: the gram worth 0.62 US$, and the troy ounce worth 19.31 US$.

The economic system of the countries included in the Guild are incredibly diverse. While some are socialist others are capitalist, the free trade treaties that are observed by member states allow for expedited trade and help communist and capitalist alike.
