The current number of citizens of the micronation is 200 people, but Mr. Johnson is aimed to raise the population up to 5000. Some citizens are also investors of IBG inc., a Cayman based company established with the purpose to buy an island for the Principality of Islandia and develop it into a prosperous holiday resort or just a tent camp. According to the recent leaks the likeminded citizens have purchased an island in Belize. Mr. Johnson has also arranged the first group tour to Terra Nullius Bir Tawil together with 5 other citizens of Islandia in November 2019.
