The GVL is a staunch supporter of Localism. The party advocates for local authorities to be formed in a nation where they have local control. It's their view that the more local power a nation has the more citizens and activity it would receive. As local leaders would have an incentive to be active inside the nation and to work with the Government to improve the local authority.
