The First Tarevia Short Story Contest was announced on November 7, 2022, at the proposal of the Secretary of Culture of the Kingdom of Tarevia, Gaius Postumius Dorsuo.
The rules of the contest established the admission of original and unpublished short stories with a main theme on intelligence. The deadline for submission was November 25.
On December 1, a public vote was organized on Twitter to choose the winning entry, which closed 48 hours later, with final results of 12 votes, 25% for the story Neon Lights by finalist Gaius Sergius Primus, and 75% for The Noise of Tradition in Hermenepolis, by Manius Caedicius Bucco, who was the winner.
