Zealandia, officially the Federal Republic of Zealandia, (/ziːˈlændiə/; zee-LAND-ear or zə-LAND-ear; Swedish: Förbundsrepubliken Zeelandien, Zealandian: Ðørbundrepubliken Zålandien) was a federal micronation located in Australasia, Europe and North America. Formerly the Kingdom of Zealandia, the state reformed to become a federal republic under the leadership of Joseph Puglisi and Charlotte Lindström.
The Name Zealandia comes from the Sunken name of the continent of Zealandia, This name being settled upon by Sir Robert Kennedy and Charlotte Lindström on account that to them "it both sounded like a real nation's name and the fact that it would be an easy recognisable name for a Nation".

The Kingdom of Zealandia was founded on the February 28th, 2010. Upon its founding, an election was called for, in which Robert Kennedy was elected First Minister (Prime Minister), with a Progressive Party majority. Ruling until October of that year, Kennedy was the first of many SDPZ First Ministers.
On December 28, 2010 Sebastian Linden led the Social Democratic Party to its biggest electoral victory.
The Kingdom was reformed into a Grand Duchy on the 5th of January 2011 and soon after joined in a union with the Principality of Eleytheria which effectively ended with the succession of Eleytheria from the Union. The Kingdom reformed from a Grand Duchy back to a Kingdom on the 21st of February 2011.
On the 22nd of February 2011 the Kingdom was battered by a second earthquake which caused major Damage to Denton and the other provinces located around Christchurch New Zealand, With some citizens narrowly escaping injury or death both in Christchurch City Center and in the Suburbs of Christchurch.
On December 1, 2011 Joseph Puglisi led the then Best Party of Zealandia to electoral victory, which was the first time an openly socialist party had won.
Between February 4 and 8 2012 a period of civil conflict took place with a break away nation (Republic of Zealandia) being formed then absorbed by the Zealandia which resulted in the establishment of the office of President of Zealandia.
On May 14, 2012 politicians within Zealandia voted to accept the Nemkhav Federation Stability Mission in Zealandia (Zealandian: Nemkawðamtøk Stabulteit Misjon i Zålandien, Swedish: Nemkav Förbunds Stabilitet Mission i Zeelandien abbreviated: NFSM or NðSM)after it was proposed by former Zealandian Prime Minister and at the time current Prime Minister of the Nemkhav Federation Marka Mejakhansk and Nemkhav President Alex Ulbricht in an effort to repair Zealandia's constitutional status.
Tensions rose between the Zealandian Parliamentarians and Queen Astrid and Nemkhav Foreign Minister J.J Hakimoto that led to Charlotte removing the mission during the late night of May 27, 2012, to which an international committee was held on the Zealandian constitution afterwards with the subsequent amendment being approved in a referendum on June 9, 2012.
On August 1, 2012 Winter Revolution occurred sparking the declaration of the Federal Republic of Zealandia over the Kingdom.
The Federal Republic was disposed of in a coup held on the 16th of February 2013 and replaced by the Commonwealth of Zealandia
Zealandia’s Physical Geography is extremely varied with the Nation having landscapes ranging from wide open spaces to the Sheer Cliffs and hills. Some of Southern Zealandia lies within an active seismic area within the Canterbury Region of New Zealand.
According to the Zealandian Constitution, Zealandia has three official Languages: English, Swedish and Zealandian.
In addition to the three official languages Zealandia has occasionally used Icelandic, Te Reo Māori, Dutch, Irish and Tianish, in a supported role.
Previous official languages include German and Francilish.

Politics in Zealandia are governed by the constitution, with citizens being elected to both Riksdag and the office of President.
The cabinet consists of ministers who where selected from the members of the ruling party and appointed to their post by the President or Parliament
The Judiciary consists of the Supreme Court and the two Regional Courts. There are currently four Political parties within the Kingdom, they range the Center Right Moderate Party and the largely communist Communist Party. The Parliamentary system in Zealandia was based off of the Westminster, modern Scandinavian parliamentary assemblies and Norse Things.
Zealandia was a Neutrally Armed nation much like Switzerland and Ireland, Zealandia's Neutrality is controlled by the Zealandian Constitution which sets the conditions upon which Zealandia may enter into or accept hostilities. Command is vested by the Zealandian Constitution in the president and as such Charlotte Lindström was the Supreme Commander of the Zealandian Defence Force.

Law Enforcement was carried out in Zealandia by The Zealandian Constabulary.
Zealandian Law Enforcement officers (Police Constables) are unarmed. The Zealandia Constabulary duties covered general law enforcement and policing matters as well as dealing with Customs and Border and Border Control issues and enforcement within the non open border areas.

Despite not being in a Nordic region, the culture of Zealandia was influenced by Nordic culture and in particular the cultures of the Norse, Swedish and Icelandic Peoples.

The Federal Republic of Zealandia is constitutionally a neutral, armed nation, akin to Switzerland in the macronational world. Zealandia was a member of the Grand Unified Micronational until it left amid controversy in the Olofgate scandal. It was also a member of TASPAC preceding a dispute with the organisation. Zealandia was a member of the Organisation of Active Micronations until the end of that organisation's lifespan, in which Charlotte Lindstrom was its final secretary-general.
Zealandia was also a member of Syolian Union until October 2012, but is otherwise generally unaligned
thee Zealandian Economy was a central controlled socialist oriented economy.
In the past Zealandia used to posses a regulated capitalist economy complete with a stock market until the Planed Economy Act 2011 was passed and the Royal Zealandian Army occupied the Zealandian Stock Exchange Building and forcibly shut the stock exchange down amid celebrations from the Zealandian Council of Trade Unions.
All business in Zealandia is nationalised and controlled by the workers through the Arebiterþings and the Zealandian Council of Trade Unions which have delegates to the Sentral Økonomien Kommissien (Central Economic Commission of Zealandia), which administers Zealandia's socialist economy.
Education is highly valued in Zealandia with three universities being established:
