Arlandica, Officially as Sovereign Principality of Arlandica (Cebuano: Soberanyang Prinsipalidad sa Arlandika) is a Micronation claiming Sovereignty and control over parts of The Philippine Archipelago, an Island country with enclaves and exclaves. Arlandica is a Constitutional monarchy ruled by The Prince of Arlandica.
Territory
Arlandica consists Twelve Enclaves, Two Exclaves and Two Islands (Badoc island and Liberty island) including few Rock islets and reefs that are scattered across parts of The Philippines. It is administratively divided into Five Provinces, known as Paddaya, Galrea, Lémarita, Veracruz and Nueva Bago, And The City of Santo Niño, serving as National capital that has the same Official name as the country. Arlandica has Total Land area of 6 square kilometers or 618 Hectares which is same sizes as Gibraltar, The country has Forests, hills, farms and residences, the principality also claims Four Parts of Ocean territories including an entire river located in the capital district. All of this Territorial claims are the National Territory by virtue of 2022 Arlandican Constitution even tho it's non-contiguous.
Etymology
The Name "Arlandica" (pronounced: Ar-lan-di-kah) is named after Prince Jerold from his nickname called "Ar", as he is the founder and in honor to his leadership in the Principality. In the spoken Cebuano language, It is called "Arlandika". Aside from that, "The Land of Hopeful Morning" is the country's Official nickname and promotional slogan.
Culture
Arlandican citizens are Culturally assimilated by Western Influences and still Filipino people. The Monarchy in Arlandica is inspired from the politics in European and Middle east Kingdoms. This Principality has also kinds of Tradition that practices by it's residents. Arlandica is a Family and Civilian oriented Micronation.
The Sovereign Principality of Arlandica views itself as a successor to and continuation of the Realm of Tagloc, a vassal state of The Sultanate of Maguindanao consisting domains over Davao gulf areas, it was ruled by Datu Mama Bago and existed during 1700's Pre-colonial years, Got fell under Spanish Empire at 1848.
Demographics
There are more than 20 citizens and non-registered citizens (As of September 2022) in Arlandica, Most of citizens are filipinos and Most are practices Christian religion. The official language in the principality is Cebuano, while there are Seven other regional languages: English, Filipino, Ilokano, Spanish, Hiligaynon of Ilonggo, Lémaritan and Bhutanese. Half of the population are living inside Territories and 1/3 of the population are Government officers.
Economy
Arlandica mostly depends from it's macronation Because most of products, goods and services are came from there, And moreover has a small economy. Philippine Peso is the official currency for use, while Arlandican Dollar is only for Display currency. All money of the Government keeps in the treasury, managed by Office of The Prince and Ministry of Finance. Gross National Happiness or GNH is also used here to measure collective happiness of the population.
History
In the year 2016, a young man, Jerold created "Arland Nation" as a Self-declared isolated Country consisting a Imaginary Island according to his drawings in a paper It's somewhere in the South of Japanese Archipelago. He created this idea just for fun and remain unknown to other Years after.
In November 2019, Jerold firstly discovered the Micronational Community, as a observer since the said Online Facebook Group is public, He wants to revive his idea for Establishing a new Micronation based in real life with Land claims and Government. Four months Later, He Immediately declared the Formation of Arlandica. On April 2020, exactly in his birthday, Jerold's first action is to create Flag and Coat of Arms that was displayed in a backyard. He is yet to learn about Forms of Governments. Few months later, Arlandica established it's first Foreign relations and Contact with Vilasia, It's neighbor. After few Months again, He decided to choose Federal Republic with Marxist-Leninist ideology. As being part of Micronational Community, Recieves many Criticisms regarding to his Micronation's Government Form Until he decided once again to declare Dictatorship in All of Arlandica. That Time Arlandica had no Constitution. Jerold's Sister didn't like it especially the design of Flag so She is attempted to overthrow his brother out but She failed, Jerold already crowned himself as the Monarch of Arlandica, turning the micronation into a Monarchy.
On January 2021, Jerold finally enacted the Arlandica's first-ever Constitution in History, It's Government still experiences instability but The Arlandican Monarch decided to expand it's Territory. While focusing external matters, He doesn't care about the issues at Arlandican Government and Was caught the attention of concerned Micronations that wants to Help Arlandica. Renderfeit, a micronation that asked Jerold to sign an agreement that allows their Government to fix issues in Arlandica but Jerold shall step down as Head of State replacing Rjay Mancio. In March 2021, Arlandica is still independent but the Renderfeit Leader has the authority. Few Supporters and Friends of Arlandica didn't like the new Monarch, Instead, They encourage Jerold to overthrow the Renderfeit Leader, And He did it. It resulted the re-establishment of new Government that is Not associated by Any other Foreign State with Jerold as now known The Prince of Arlandica. This Country now has strong influence in the parts of Philippines with Stable and Working Government. He truly endorses Nationalism and Preservation of Monarchy in Arlandica.
Government
Arlandica is a Constitutional Monarchy. Citizens and Non-registered citizens are Subjects of Two levels of Government, National and Local. Each of Local government units (or Provinces) has lesser autonomy that which they can impose policies on their jurisdiction under the supervision and approval of The Prince since the Country is Centralized. The 2022 Arlandican Constitution was adopted in May 23, 2022 and It establishes the structure and responsibilities of Arlandican Government.
Monarchy
The Prince of Arlandica is a hereditary monarch that personally exercise most of Government's Legislative, Executive and Judicial powers. In addition to being a prince, He is also the Prime Minister, Head of the Council, Chief Justice, Commander-In-Chief of Civil Guards and Minister of Foriegn Affairs. All Officials of Government are being appointed by The Prince of Arlandica.
Council of Arlandica
The Council of Arlandica has Four Ministries (Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Information and Social Media; Ministry of State Affairs) which serves as Executive body for helping the prince on his responsibilities and Legislative body to create or draft laws that can be approved or rejected by the Prince. The Council has 5 members that are belong to several ministries.
High Court
The High Court interpret Laws and overturn those they find unconstitutional, They also regulates Conflicts and Issues of the subjects. Aside from the Chief Justice, High Court is composed of few Judges. Civil Guards of Arlandica serves as the Law Enforcement and Self-Defense force.
Foreign Relations
Arlandica's Diplomatic Relations are implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The Prince of Arlandica is the one who has power to sign treaties. The Principality's foreign policy is based on Good Governance, State Ideology and Realism.
