Etymology

The Kingdom of Las Lagunas de Nisibon comes from the local area called Las Lagunas de Nisibon. Las Lagunas translates to (The Lakes) since there are many nearby lakes. Nisibon is the name of a town in this area.

History

Las Lagunas de Nisibon was a small farming town in the Late 80s to Early 2000s and from the 2000s. From the 2000s forward it became a small tourist destination because of the resorts built 6 miles away along the coast. In April 2023 The King became inspired by the story of South Sudan as it became independent because the people there had an ancestral connection to the land so he decided to make the town from where his family comes from a Kingdom.

Politics and government

The Kingdom is Run by a King that has a Parliament of people that represents the people in different sectors such as Defence, Environment, Education, Ect...

Head of state

The Head of state Is the King and he can decide if a new law is passed and starts a Parliament meeting.

Law and order

1. The court MUST have at least 1 lawyer on each side. 2. The court is there to show IF the person has done an offense to the person who sued. 3. You must stay true to your word.

Jury: You are to give an opinion if the defendant is guilty or not. You side with the judge.

Lawyer: You defend your client regardless if they actually did the offense or not.

Judge You are responsible to the court and judge what sentence should be given (The Judge is usually the King).

Military

The Kingdom has no military just a police force.

Geography and climate

The Kingdom usually has an average temperature of 26°-35° and experiences. Rain, Cyclones, And Hurricanes from June to November.

Economy

The Kingdom of Las Lagunas de Nisibon uses the Dominican Peso but has plans to establish its own currency.

Culture

Nisibonian culture is a mixture of the cultures of Spaniard colonists, African slaves, and Taíno natives. European, African, and Taíno cultural elements are most prominent in Nisibonish, family structure, religion, and music.
