The Democratic Nation of Liberty (DNL, Liberty) was a simulationist micronation that was founded 2015. The project was intended as a simulation of a direct democracy. It lost relevance quickly and was finally abandoned around 2020. It did not claim territory.
History
The DNL was founded on May 24, 2015.
Its only operating institution was the Council of Liberty (CoL), which was intended to function as a parliament. There have never been elections.
The project never gained any notable relevance and was abandoned around 2020, although there has never been an official statement on its discontinuation.
