The Davlati Shohi Xoroson (Tajik: Давлати Шоҳӣ Хуросон), known colloquially as Xoroson, is a self-declared unrecognized sovereign state, commonly known as a micronation by foreign observers. Xoroson declared its independence on September 7, 2020, seceding from Canada and Uzbekistan, with a province in North America and Central Asia respectively, with both provinces existing as Landlocked enclaves.
The state is a Semi-constitutional monarchy with governmental roles and responsibilities being split between the Shoh and the Majlisi Shoh (Council of the King). The political system of the state is internally known as the Shahdom system, which reflects aspects of the Political system of Iran.
Etymology
Davlati Shohi Xoroson is the Persian name of the state in the latin alphabet, literally meaning the 'Royal State of Khorasan'. The name is composed of the Persian words: Davlati meaning 'State of', Shohi meaning 'Royal', and Xoroson the Persian spelling of 'Khorasan'. The name can less literally be interpreted as the 'Kingdom of Khorasan' in English, however its Uzbek rendition 'Xuroson Shohligi Davlati' also translates to 'Royal State of Khorasan'.
History
Sogdia and Gurkani
Xoroson would exist in two different forms before reaching its current state as the Davlati Shohi Xoroson. The first 'era' of Xoroson would be when it existed as a revival state of Sogdia in the form of a Sogdian confederation of principalities. The Sogdian era of Xoroson would not last long before the state would shift into its second and shorter lived Gurkani stage, which would see it restructure and rebrand itself as a revival of yet another historic Central Asian state. Both of these changes had been brought upon by the current Shohi Xoroson, Malik Shoh, who saw it as necessary change to bring the populace of Xoroson through the historic socio-political phases of Central Asia from which it drew its legitimacy and lineage before finally restructuring itself into its current form.
Government
The current political system of Xoroson, the 'Shahdom system', finds its basis in the ideal of the Divine right of the Shohi Xoroson as monarch and them delegating rights, responsibilities, and freedoms to the various branches and bodies which form the government of Xoroson to democratically and (in theory) fairly administer the realm.
Monarch of Xoroson
The sovereign monarch of Xoroson is the Shohi Xoroson, 'Shah of Khorasan' or 'King of Khorasan' in Persian written in the Latin alphabet. Shohi Xoroson is a Shah who rules with political legitimacy Divine right of kings and by this doctrine exists as the supreme fountain of power, justice, rights, responsibilities, and freedoms of the government, the realm, and the citizens of Xoroson. The current and first Shohi Xoroson is Malik Shoh who assumed the title upon his assumption to the throne of Xoroson upon the declaration of independence, as the founder of the state. The Shohi Xoroson is afforded the title and style of 'His/Her Majesty The Shohi Xoroson', with the children of the Shoh being afforded and granted upon birth the title and style of 'His/Her Royal Highness The Shahzadeh'.
