a Czech Republic holds the area of Benešov claimed by Fyrinia macronationally. The area was not claimed by any other known micronation. |
The town of Benešov was claimed by the Fyrinian Republic on September 9, 2019 and since then has been micronationally considered a part of Fyrinia as the Benešov Special Administrative Region of the Fyrinian Republic (also known as Benešov SAR). Macronationally a part of the Czech Republic, the area of the town was not considered a part of any other known micronation in either the Czech sector or an intermicronational community. The claim followed the interim transition of the power in Fyrinia to the Transitional State Administration, de iure move of the capital city from Prachatice (Kirilmaz) to České Budějovice, while de facto move of the capital city to Benešov where the Transitional State Administration is headquartered.
The Transitional State Administration was formed on August 20, 2019 in order to transform Fyrinia into a realistic micronation. It set its headquarters in Benešov where Lukáš Čuřík is from. Since then, Benešov has served as de facto capital city of the micronation although it was not claimed by the micronation itself. At 21:00 CEST, Fyrinia declared it claimed the area of approximately 15 square kilometres which covers Benešov and surrounding areas in the news of Czech MicroWiki. At about 23:00 CEST, the claimed area has been published at the official map of Fyrinia.
The claim resulted in the town's integration into a micronational entity of Fyrinia, while it remained controlled by the Czech Republic, as well as the rest of the micronation. As no other known micronation to the Czech MicroWiki did not claim the area, the claim remained a peaceful step. It was also the very first time Fyrinia expanded its area.
