Etymology
The name Kraton derives from the Kraton of Yogyakarta, the royal residence of the Sultan of Yogyakarta which located in the the same city where Kraton is located. The name kraton itself means "palace" in Javanese which is a derivation of the word keratuan which means "royal residence".[3]
