Biography

Non-micronational life

Bubba Clem Marra is not his real name but Marra is his true last name. Bubba decided to use a pseudonym to protect his privacy, and had already described himself as "future President Marra" (leaving out the possibility of a fake last name), so he chose "all-American" names to fill in the places of his first and middle names, and the only "all-American" names that he could think of were Bubba and Clem.

Early years

Bubba Marra was born a third-generation American of equal parts Irish, English, Italian, and Polish descent at a birthing center in Dearborn, Michigan, United States of America, on March 28, 1997, at approximately 5:00 AM. However, his parents lived in Puerto Rico at the time where his father ran a snow-cone stand (he was born in the US proper at his mother's request, so he would be able to vote in US presidential elections). After a few weeks, they returned to Ponce, Puerto Rico. About six months later, they moved to Grapevine, Texas, out of his mother's fear that Ponce was not a good place to raise a child.

"State-hopping"

It was in Grapevine that his brother was born on July 29, 1999. After about one year in Texas, the family moved to Alto, New Mexico. After one year in Alto, in 2001, the now four-member family moved to St. James City, Florida; a city just south of Port Charlotte, on the southern tip of Pine Island.

Florida

They lived in St. James City for just a few months, and then moved to Port Charlotte. Although his parents had divorced in Alto, it was in Port Charlotte that his father finally moved away from Bubba's mother. His father moved to North Port, where he lives to this day, and his mother soon moved to a different location in Port Charlotte.

In 2003, Bubba started school at Liberty Elementary. He was pulled out of school forcibly by his mother in mid-fourth grade, and has been homeschooled to this day.

"City-hopping"

In 2006, he moved in with his stepfather in St. Petersburg, Florida, among the largest cities in Florida (next to Jacksonville, Miami, and nearby Tampa). He went to school shortly at Melrose Elementary for Fifth Grade, but was quickly pulled out.

In 2008, Bubba's mother rented a double-zoned house, and opened up a tea room, where they lived on weekends before permanently moving to the house, in South Pasedena, in 2009. In 2010, the Florida State Department banned his mother's tea room from serving food, as it did not comply with recently revised regulations.

Present day

Today, Bubba's mother is planning to move out of South Pasedena. At first, Bubba looked forward to this move, because they would be able to get their dog back, but when they regained possession of the dog after the Florida State Department relieved his mother of the right to serve food, he immediately began to loathe the move, but "[does not] care", since he is certain that he will be living with his father and going to public school again by the end of 2011.

He hopes to become a film director when he grows up. He says he wants to make a mix of drama and comedy films.

Micronational life

He read about Sealand once when he was about 10, and quickly forgot about it.

Much like how Barnaby Hands was introduced to micronationalism, Bubba was researching non-FIFA football competitions on Wikipedia one day when that article mentioned Sealand. Remembering the name "Sealand" from a long time ago, he clicked on the link, and was reintroduced to micronations. He decided to make his own micronation in mid-2010, and created the Sandbars on December 2, 2010.

Bubba is the former President of the Sandbars. He describes the Sandbars as "a great big failure". It collapsed in March 2011.

Political views

Bubba Marra describes himself as politically Independent.

Bubba describes himself as politically Independent (though he has slight Leftist leanings), having similar moral and political views to Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa, and Mahatma Gandhi.

On his Independentism, he comments "I basically have no political agenda. I just make decisions based on that particular situation, not based on what all the other Independents think. If you think about it, a massive amount of things are best at a moderate level, not too much, and not too little. For example, take a candy bar. If you scarf it down in two bites, you will quickly forget about it. If you make it last for as long as possible, it will melt, and you won't be able to eat all of it. That's how I would describe Independentism. Each side of any logical argument has its points, but they both have drawbacks. Why not be in the middle, and make independent decisions? That's why I believe Independentism is best."

Personal life

He describes himself as "Atheistic Christian", meaning he views the Christian figure of Jesus as a respectable person, but does not believe in God (though he has stated he believes in the afterlife). He also views himself as (hetero-romantic) asexual.bvg

Miscellaneous

He is a native speaker of English, specifically General American English with a slight Southern accent, meaning he speaks mostly like a Midwesterner (how most Americans speak), but has some exceptions, such as pronouncing the words "cot" and "caught" differently, pronouncing "cicada" as "SY-kad" (instead of "si-KAY-duh"), and pronouncing "your" (or "you're") as "yer", among others. This accent is typical among Floridians, and he has lived in and around west-central Florida since 2001. He jokingly says he can also speak Pig Latin (which he can) and Gibberish.
