Republic of Blazetopia (Filipino: Republika ng Blazetopia), sometimes known as Blazetopia, is a self-proclaimed autonomous state known as a Micronation by external observers, as well as some states. The nation is based in Pampanga, Philippines, and operates primarily in the Santo Tomas Municipality. The country is governed by a President who is the leader of a unitary one-party presidential republic. English, Filipino, and Kapampangan are the official languages of the state, and they are still in use today.
Etymology
Blazetopia is a spin-off of Jhurysse Magtoto's previous channels, BlazeFire II and Blaze Mapping. Before the Balzian colonization, he attempted to rename the country; he remembered his previous YouTube channels that contained the term Blaze in them. He decided to take it and add the word "topia" at random, naming it Blazetopia.
History
Early History
Blazetopia was founded in 2019 when Jhurysse Magtoto was on vacation in Cavite, Philippines, to celebrate the new year. When he was bored, he watched YouTube and randomly found a video titled "Top 10 Smallest Countries in the World." He watched and found Sealand and Molossia in the video, where they had a population of 7–27 at that time. He laughed at those two countries and dreamed of his country, the Philippines, invading them. As time went by, he became curious and found out they were micronations. After he went home to his hometown in Pampanga, he decided to make his own nation and established the Republic of Morticia.
He declared himself president. The only territory at that time was his room, and the citizens of Morticia were just stuffed animals. He made post offices, a military base, and a bank right in his room. He does that every night until he gets bored, and Morticia becomes inactive and later dissolves. He then focused on vlogging and started his channel called "BlazeFire II."
A few months later, he discovered Countryballs and the Mapping Community, where he met Nano Mapping, a mapper, and Carl Miguel Victa, a Roblox gamer. Jhurysse Magtoto became passionate about countryballs and the mapping community; he then decided to abandon his vlogging career and create a new channel called "Blaze Mapping." He then made mapping videos and countryball drawings in the next few months. While he was doing that, he got annoyed at Carl Miguel Victa for always saying "Be Balzian!" in Nano's group chat. He then became curious about what Carl was saying until he discovered that Carl Miguel Victa is a micronationalist and has a micronation named the Republic of Balzi.
He then decided to re-establish the Republic of Morticia (now informally known as Black Morticia), and this is where he decided to change the name to Blazetopia.
