Avro Keatings is a Delegate from the Silofaisan constituency of South Kansas City, the Speaker of the Silofaisan Chamber of Delegates in the National Assembly, and the Secretary of State for the Democratic Union of British States.
He is the framer of the Constitution of the Republic of Silofais, and was the chair of both the first and second Ratification Conventions for the said Constitution. Along with Andrew John Bevolo IV, the creator of the Silofaisan language, Keatings is considered one of the founders of the nation of Silofais.
Ratification Conventions
Keatings was the chair of both of the conventions to ratify the Constitution of the Republic of Silofais.
During the first convention, he notably and deliberately turned down the office of President as Chair when the topic came up in the first Ratification Convention, stating he did not want Silofais to become "the nation of Avro" (Horatio Eden was ultimately elected President). He was, however, elected Speaker of the Chamber of Delegates during both conventions, including in the second when the Senate of the National Assembly was forced into abeyance by the Great Split.
