Juan Cisneros

Presidential Elections were held in Aswington on January 18, 2019, although previously they were scheduled for December 20, 2018. They were the first presidential elections held after the disolution of Occitania.

In this presidential election, one candidate ran against Juan Cisneros, who emerged victorious with 66.7% of the vote.


Electoral System

For the first time in an election, an online voting system was used for residents and citizens living abroad.

The President is elected through direct suffrage, for a period of one year.


The Progressive Party nominated Juan Cisneros as its candidate for these elections, while Nadia Maestro, ran as a independent candidate. Maestro becomes the first woman to participate in these elections.
