2023 Ela'r'oech Swatting incident

On 1 August 2023, the Emperor of Ela'r'oech, Charles Mevd was swatted.[a] It is speculated that it more than likely was ordered by Tizian Aruna[citation needed] and Terry McKeen, both of which come from the USR, a major political enemy of the Empire. Madgett had criticized the USR many times in the past and was known as a common proponent of Anti-USR relations, policies, and the like.
Background
Madgett had continuously and relentlessly attacked McKeen both personally and publicly, referring to his governments as evil and comparing them to the USSR and China. Madgett had also noted that as the founder of Zeprana, it was his choice to do what he pleased with it, as he had never stepped down as de facto leader, and that all of McKeen's actions were both illegal and treasonous. McKeen and Aruna, both high ranking officials in the USR, were angered by these comments and attacks, and would frequently personally and publicly attack Madgett as well, mostly on X.
Attempt
The address of the territory which had been targeted, is publicly available on the internet. With this knowledge, the perpetrator was able to contact the local emergency services in the vicinity of the area. On 1 August 2023, Madgett had been preparing to leave his home for his school's orientation on that day. He was shaving when the local police had knocked on the door. Madgett's father opened it and subsequently everyone in the home was instructed to put their hands up as the police drew their firearms. It was later discussed that the department had received a tip on their local non-emergency line stated that a juvenile female had been fatally injured by Madgett. Police searched the home where there was no juvenile female found. Upwards of nine law enforcement vehicles were on the road of Madgett's home, as well as an ambulance unit following behind.
Reactions
The Empire of Ela'r'oech quickly held a federal investigation determining that it was attempted by a member of the USR, however who it was is yet to be found and the investigation is still ongoing. Allies of the Empire were quick to call out the actions of those who had committed the attempt, however other nations so far had been yet to comment. Generally, many nations have questioned this event's importance, usually due to the hesitance of legitimizing the perpetrator's ability to commit such actions.
