Lord Colonel Sir A. J. Bond, 1st Count of East Corellia COA BA is an Adammic politician and military officer who previously served as a co-Deputy Prime Minister of Adammia He was also briefly a former Minister of Citizenship and Information, a former Minister of National Development and former Delegate of Abroad Citizens. He continues to be the acting co-leader of the Storm Party, and a colonel in the Adammic Army.
Non-micronational life
Bond is a graduate of the University of Birmingham with a BA in Politics and International Relations. In July 2024 he became engaged to his long-term partner, C. Breakwell.
Micronational career
Bond met Adam I, Emperor of Adammia through the University of Birmingham Liberal Democrats. After the Adammic government moved to Birmingham, Bond was invited to sit on the new Ruling Council by running unopposed for Delegate of Abroad Citizens in November 2017. He sat as an independent opposition backbencher until September 2018, when he was appointed as an interim Minister of Citizenship and Information following the resignation of Lord Gurr. However, he himself resigned after just ten days in office, making him the shortest-serving cabinet minister in Adammic history, and backed the Storm Party. He was not able to stand again as Delegate of Abroad Citizens and so left the Ruling Council in October 2018.
In May 2018, he enlisted in the Adammic Army and became Colonel of the 1st Armoured Regiment.
With the creation of the House of Citizens in 2019, Bond was able to return to frontline politics. He stood at the #3 position on the Storm list in the 2019 general election and was elected as an MP. After Lord Saunders and others split away to form the Independent Party, and Lord Gurr announced his retirement, Bond was left as one of only two remaining Storm activists by September 2020. Although Lady Worthington nominally led the party, she was becoming increasingly inactive, and Bond was forced to effectively manage the party's campaign for the 2020 general election. He was re-elected at the #2 position on the Storm list, and joined the second Saunders coalition as Minister of National Development. From around this time, Bond began to campaign to protect Adammia's (non-existent) sheep population, and the Storm Party adopted sheep-related imagery as a result. His Protection of Sheep Bill passed the House of Citizens in September 2021, but stalled in the Ruling Council.
By 2021 Lady Worthington had become almost completely inactive. Bond and Lord Gurr assumed the acting co-leadership of the Storm Party, although they insisted that Worthington was still the official party president. As the 2021 general election was uncontested, Bond returned to the House alongside Gurr as the only two Storm MPs. He and Lord Gurr subsequently became co-Deputy Prime Ministers in the cross-party unity government of Lord Green.
