The Anchorage Independence Party, or official Independence Party of Anchorage (IPoA), was the main force fueling the States of Anchorage to become a micronation. It is a key factor of the incorporation of the States of Anchorage. In early 2024, the party pushed for the independence of Anchorage from the United States, and was met with no opposing force. The IPoA gathered together and formed the States of Anchorage, allowing the City of Anchorage to finally become independent.
The party is not regarded much anymore, and the Anchorage Senate is mainly incharge of the States of Anchorage now.
