Political Position
Kadhimi is a member of the PDU's Pan-Arabist caucus, though considers himself a "pan-leftist", maintaining close links to the party's Islamic socialist league and its far-left non-confessional caucus.
He readily adopted democratic socialism within the party's manifesto, and was a vocal supporter of also including Arab socialism, an ideology whose socialist credentials are often doubted.
