Alexander I of Zenia (Greek: Αλέξανδρος της Ζηνίας), popularly known as Alexander the Athenian (Greek: Αλέξανδρος ο Αθηναίος), is the former High Consul of the State of Zenia.

Early Life

While not much is known about his person, certain members of the Stoa believe him to be a former highly ranked figure of a micronation, who abandoned all ranks and titles and eventually joined the Stoa of Zenia, as a penniless man.

Zenia

High Consul

After joining the Stoa he soon thrived among the other members, for his wisdom and his teachings based on Stoicism and renunciation. It was then agreed unanimously by the members of the Stoa that he should be named the "First among the others" (Primus inter pares) and serve as the High Consul of the Stoa. Alexander reportedly had little interest over his micronational duties but nonetheless agreed to carry them out, thus he was often likened to the embodiment of the platonian concept of the "Philosopher king".

Exile

After the 8th of February 2023, when the micronation of Rhōmanía established the Government of National Salvation of Zenia, Alexander and other members of the Stoa were forced to evacuate Zenia's premises, and operate as an "in-exile" government. Four days later, on February the 12th, Alexander officially stepped down as High Consul and was succeeded by Themistocles I. According to rumors, he subsequently "disappeared into the desert".
