The age of majority in the Jarldom of Hjalvik is 20, having been increased from 18 by the Age of Majority Act 2022 on 26 February 2022. At that age, Hjalsk citizens are fully considered as adults, and from the age of 20 can engage in certain procedures that citizens under the age of 20 cannot.

Citizens born before 01/01/2003 are also entitled to these rights, as they were already legal adults within Hjalvik before the Age of Majority Act 2022, and by the end of 2022 will all be over the age of 20.
