Niamh Calderwood

Niamh Calderwood is a writer and filmmaker from the North East of England, United Kingdom. She trained at the performance academy in Newcastle upon Tyne, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Directing in 2013 before pursuing a Master of Arts Degree in Creative Writing with The Open University. She is the founder of The Marston Commune. In early 2019 she seceded from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in an email to the National Trust, informing them that the sea stack formerly known as Marsden Rock had been declared a sovereign state and was no longer on British soil.
