Regions in Europe with Nova-Occitanian territories

The administrative divisions of Nova-Occitania are concerned with the institutional and territorial organization of the Occitanian territory. There are administrative divisions, which may have political (local government), electoral (districts), or administrative (decentralized services of the state) objectives.

Constituencies

Constituencies are defined by the New constituencies Act. They combine several federal elements and are used for federal and electoral purposes.

Constituency Location Territories
Iberia Constituency Iberian Peninsula Aragon and Three Flowers
Midi-Gascony Constituency Occitanian historical region Benyamin, Shalom and Tartuga
Mixed Constituency Occitanian historical region and British Isles Babougrad and Loch Occitania

Territories

The territories are all the political and territorial entities that are part of the Union of Nova-Occitania. There are two juridical types of territories :

  • Viguerie : Standard administrative division, it benefits via a statute of autonomy of advantages which it chooses from a list established in the Constitution. The name "Viguerie" comes from medieval administrative jurisdictions in the South of France and in Catalonia. This term was formalized by presidential decree 2020/8.[1]
  • Dependency: Uninhabited territories and governed by a governor appointed by the president and subject to a specific law.[2]
