Procedure

The Constitution of EMU says that President is elected by citizens of EMU. All member state citizens are officially the Citizens of European Micronational Union. Each European micronational Political party creates it's ticket alongside independent candidates. Chairman of Election is elected by the President of EMU, who then oversees the procedure of Elections. All candidates must register with the Chairman of Elections as Candidates for post of President not earlier than 3 days before election.

All candidates make a speech before Council and announce their presidency to officially solidify their candidacy. Many Presidents have not only published their speeches to the Council, but also in their social media, to attract the voters from all over EMU. After that candidates, usually, try to find someone who can endorse them, either the local politicians, such as Prime-Ministers of member states or Representatives in the Council, who then endorse them.

It has become one of the traditions to create 2 separate Presidential debates, in which Presidential Candidates try to persuade voters in voting for them and against the opponents. It's usually a media event in which media outlets can try to get their questions about presidential candidates.

Election process wearies from election to election, but for the main part it's held online for all the citizens of EMU. Voting is open for about 10 hours, in which all the registered voters should vote for their candidate. After that Chairman announces the results before Council and Acting President certifies the votes, by signing "The Certification of votes of [Official Election Name]". It's kind of a goodbye document, in which President also thanks the Cabinet and Council for the work. After that incumbent President gives speech to the Council and Elected President gives oath of office and is inaugurated to the post of President. Inauguration can be delayed, if the incumbent President or Elected president request it, up to 21 days, for preparation and peaceful transfer of power.
