The 2021 Grand Republic of Kapreburg election took place on July 16 and the results were declared on July 17, 2021, it elected the first president of the Grand Republic of Kapreburg. The declared victor of the election was Connor Shaw one of the members of the Provisional Council of the Grand Republic, he ran with his running mate Jacob Vancapelle who was the Chairman of the Provisional Council prior to the election. The main opposition candidate was Javier L.M. and Evan Callies. Ezri Ambriz ran and obtained the least amount of votes, he did not have a running mate. The Shaw/Vancapelle ticket won the election with 76.9% of the total votes.


Background

Following the signing of the Constitution Of the Grand Republic of Kapreburg. The election date was declared by the Provisional Council to occur on the 16th of July 2021.

Campaigning

Shaw/Vancapelle were very early to campaign, releasing a campaign video the same day that the date of the election was declared, however not much followed. Ezri along with Javier/Callies ran on a more satirical note, the Javier/Callies campaign was noted for their promise of "Free Ice Cream", which was most likely a facetious promise.
