2019 Aswingtonian presidential election

Presidential elections were held in Aswington on January 18, 2019, although previously they were scheduled in December 20, 2018.
Background
Following the dissolution of the Popular Union of Occitania on October 28, 2018, a provisional government was formed in the then autonomous republic, guaranteeing its survival and, at the same time, obtaining its independence.
These elections were originally going to be held in December 20, however, they were delayed for January 18 of the following year.
Electoral system
The President is elected through direct suffrage for a one year term.
Candidates
Juan Cisneros, leader of the Progressive Party, and Nadia Maestro, independent candidate, were the only candidates who participated in the election.
Results
Cisneros was elected President, obtaining 66.7% of the votes against his opponent, who obtained 33.3%.
