The 15th Lok Sabha was the fifteenth session of the Lok Sabha, the unicameral legislature of Vishwamitra. It was formed by the members elected in the 2022 general election which was held in three phases between 30 October and 6 November 2022 by the Election Commission. The votes were counted and the results were announced on 7 November.
The National People's Congress received an overwhelming majority winning 13 of the total 20 seats while the chief opposition Vishwamitran National Party won 5 seats. Two independents were also elected to the house who later extended their support to the National People's Congress and aligned themselves with the government.
Tyler Mullins served as the Speaker for a second consecutive term while Josh Ford of the Vishwamitran National Party was the Deputy Speaker. Farhaz Hazarika was re-elected as the Prime Minister for a third term in office.
Background
2022 general election
The 2022 Vishwamitran general election was held in three phases between 30 October and 6 November 2022. The dissolution of the 14th Lok Sabha took place on 3 October 2022 by Uparashtradhyaksh Bishnu Chetry who dissolved the house acting as regent in the absence of Varuna Sriraya at the advice of the union council of ministers.
The election resulted in a majority for the National People's Congress, winning 13 seats, allowing them to form the government for yet another consecutive term. The Congress has been in power since 2017. The newly-formed Vishwamitran National Party won 5 seats and was recognized as the chief opposition party.
Parliamentary term
The term of the 15th Lok Sabha began on 10 November 2022 after the parliament was formally constituted by the Rashtradhyaksh the day prior, on 9 November. Former Speaker Matthew Tonna was appointed and sworn-in as the protem speaker to preside over the first sitting of the Lok Sabha which took place on 10 November 2022. In the first sitting of the parliament, the newly elected members took oath of office.

- 9 November 2022:
- Gazette Notification issued by Lok Sabha Secretariat regarding the constitution of the 15th Lok Sabha.
- Rashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya summons the first sitting of the house to be held the next day.
- Matthew Tonna appointed as protem speaker and sworn-in to office.
- National People's Congress leadership elected Farhaz Hazarika as the leader of the house, Rafe Burfield as the deputy leader, Manggala Alif Prasetia as the chief whip, and Christian Laudani as the deputy chief whip.
- Vishwamitran National Party named Toyotomi-Kim Tatsumi as the party floor leader as well as the leader of the opposition and Ștefan Marius Snagoveanu as the deputy leader.
- 10 November 2022:
- First sitting of the house took place and elected members took oath.
- Arthur Lacey-Scott-FitzLacia resigned from Maligaon constituency.
- Election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker took place.
- Independent MP Tyler Mullins elected as the Speaker while VNP MP Josh Ford elected as the Deputy Speaker.
- 11 November 2022:
- National People's Congress accepted the offer of the Speaker to form the government and sent instruction of appointment to the Rashtradhyaksh.
- Farhaz Hazarika formally appointed as the prime minister for a fourth time. Subsequently, Klarissa Sriraya appointed deputy prime minister, five cabinet ministers and four ministers of state also appointed.
- 12 November 2022: Swearing-in ceremony of the council of ministers take place and portfolios are assigned to ministers.
- 17 November 2022: Bye-election announced for Maligaon constituency, to be held on 26 November.
- 27 November 2022: Suryadeva Kapei of the NPC defeated Rory Leonard of the VNP and elected from Maligaon constituency.
- 18 January 2023: Matthew Tonna resigned from the house triggering a bye-election to the Noonmati constituency.
- 14 May 2023: Deputy Speaker Josh Ford announced his resignation after a motion of no-confidence was proposed against him by the government.
- 17 May 2023:
- Josh Ford withdrew his resignation with the Speaker recognizing his action.
- Reuben Isze resigned from the house triggering a bye-election to the Basistha Central constituency.
- 30 May 2023: Rory Leonard and Dinesh Rajagopalan unopposed elected to the house from the Noonmati and Basistha Central constituencies respectively.
- 1 June 2023: The Rashtradhyaksh proroged[a] the Lok Sabha till 10 June 2023.
- 2 June 2023: Rory Leonard appointed new leader of opposition succeeding Toyotomi Kim-Tatsumi.
- 12 June 2023:
- Rory Leonard resigns from all offices of Vishwamitra triggering a bye-election to the Noonmati constituency
- Dinesh Rajagopalan temporarily becomes new leader of opposition succeeding him.
- 15 June 2023: Dinesh Rajagopalan is confirmed as the leader of opposition.
- 16 August 2023: Jayden Dagsa is elected unopposed from Noonmati constituency.
- 7 September 2023: The Lok Sabha was dissolved with consent of the Rashtradhyaksh.
