Because Vladislavia was ruled by leader with hobby of vexillology, the last one had created the special standards for flags. Their sense provides usage of stable rules and principles for symbols of national entities and movements, and also intentional replacement of colors and especially proportions for foreign flags.

When Vladislavia was merged with USA, its standards were adopted to Bessarabian micronation.

Aspect ratio

Those, who create the flags with at least two stripes or canton, and use the 3:2 aspect ratio (or even shorter), are diseased.
The question is – are they insane or just blind?

Verd'landian Republic used to change proportion of flag if considered it as not acceptable for its design. Usually the bicolors, tricolors and flags with stripes, cantons or elements in sides were being edited to be equal with aspect ratio 2:1. State flag of Vladislavia and some other inner flags were designed in this proportion too.

Second proportion was 7:5, and it was used for ethnic Verd'landian flag – accordingly to this, flags of Self-Defense and Lotamism have the same dimensions. Foreign flags with small amount of elements were also keeping adjusted to this proportion.

Also, Vladislavia used to developing a new standard of logical aspects.

VerdDIR standards

"VerdDIR" is a size standard issued by Chokin to set the most rational aspects for flags. "DIR" is abbreviation which means "Do It Rationally".

Usual calculation of future flag's dimensions is being made with use of prepared proportion which can be popular or not. "VerdDIR" suggests doing it vice versa, with use of already known dimensions. In normal conditions they can be different, but national standard applies an 1 meter width and legalizes 11 possible variants, from 1 (square) to 2 (2:1). Only one pair — 1,4 and 2 were used in Vladislavia.

Some part of flag colors are not accepted by Chokin. Even strict laws about them are not legitimate in Republic. Due to this the national standards for colors are being created, and they were satirically named "The Verdtone".

Colors are categorized by order of classic rainbow and usually are named with callings of countries (or associated objects), whose flags have this colors. Some of them are acccepted as the main ones and can be named with "CMYK" prefix and a first letter of Verd'landian name of color. Each color's percent is rounded to 0 or 5, except of Verd'landian green, which has complicated parameters because it was originally transformed from Pantone standard.
