Domanglia stretches out friendly hand
Hi Burkland, or as I used to know you, ComradeMr Republic (I think... I find it difficult to remember all these years later).
Pleased to see that you're back after all these years. Only a few months ago after years without micronationalism I decided to re-establish Domanglia. Micronationalism was a fun childhood hobby and I was feeling rather nostalgic about it. As Burkland was one of Domanglia's first friends in the YouTube micronational community of 2011, and as you were (albeit briefly) a Domanglian monarch back in 2012, I'd like to stetch out a friendly hand. Glad to see you're doing well.
- Oh thank you. It's been a long time, hasn't it? Burkland (talk) 18:06, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late response - I've been rather busy lately. Yes, it has been a long time. Micronationalism was a fun childhood memory, though I think in hindsight people took it a little too seriously and took the fun out of it. It was very strange how the Domanglian Empire and the Marxist People's Republic of Burkland - countries on two ends of the political spectrum - never really had any disagreements between ourselves, but I think that's to our credit. You seem to be very humble about yourself in your self-description on your talk page, but for the record I always remembered you fondly. Burkland was a fun and interesting micronation while it lasted, from an outsider's perspective.
- Are you still doing anything micronational? Apart from editing the Wiki that is. I re-established Domanglia because, as I said, it was something I had fond memories of, and it's a quirky little hobby I'd like to pass down to my kids.
- As a former monarch of Domanglia, I think you're worthy of a decoration. How would you like the honour Comrade of the Principality of Domanglia, in recognition of your past role in the Domanglian state?
- All the best, Dominic.
