About

  • This particular feed is intended to showcase the best micronational journalism, reporting on major issues.
  • General content should be added to Template:Main Page/Internet newsfeed.
  • Original entertainment content should be added to MicroWiki:Media/Entertainment.
  • Analytical content and opinion pieces should be added to MicroWiki:Media/Other.
  • Eight headlines only - when adding new links, delete the one at the BOTTOM OF THE LIST.
  • If an addition to this feed is considered unsuitable by an administrator (e.g. should it not be from an approved publication (see below) or if the event reported on is not considered headline-tier), it will be moved to the appropriate newsfeed.

When adding headlines

  • A truly well-written article's first sentence or two should be good preview text.
  • Finish all previews with ellipses ("..."), even if the preview already finishes at the end of a sentence.
  • Do not include bylines, datelines, or similar pre-article matter (e.g. "MINSK —" or "John Citizen —") in previews.
  • Do not add "BREAKING". It is totally unnecessary.
  • Instead of using the hyphen character, please consider using the dash character (–).

APPROVED PUBLICATIONS

As of 23 April 2015, the administration has decided to put in place a policy to the effect that only approved publications may post news to the headlines newsfeed. We have in recent months seen numerous articles posted which were not of a quality deemed suitable for the headlines. The list of approved publications is below - if your publication is not on the list, then please do not add an article to this newsfeed, but to "Other news". Approved publications have been chosen for their acceptable standard of writing and journalism. ONLY AN ADMINISTRATOR may add (or subtract) from this list, but users are welcome to request that their publications be considered for inclusion.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ A new policy concerning approved headlines has been put in place. Please ensure you have read and understood it before editing the newsfeed. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Following on from reports by the ‘Al Occitania’ that Karnia-Ruthenia’s war against Socialist Republic of Juznoslavia was a fake, we decided to do a little digging ourselves. Yesterday marked a historic moment when the Ruling Council met in Tytannia for the last time and passed the Empire of Adammia Act 2017, completely reorganising the Empire’s structure. Simultaneously, citizens voted across the Empire in a referendum on a proposed Fourth Amendment to the Supreme Directive at very short notice...
Since the creation of independent Lostisland in 2010, it was run as a secular republic; this may change soon though, depending on the ongoing referendum on declaring Judaism as the state religion. Following a suggestion of a Lostislandic citizen received by the Federal Government, the President for Life has signed a Decree providing for a referendum on amending the constitution and embracing Judaism as the state religion of Lostisland...
On 20 October 2012, the Kingdom of Sabia and Verona was founded as an overseas territory of Juclandia by the Great National Assembly of that nation, two days after the first Sabioveronese Courts gathered in Saint Enric on 18 October. Today, five years later, a very different nation continues honoring the legacy of its former overlord...
Last Sunday evening, Austenasian Prime Minister Joseph Kennedy condemned a new far-right party, prompting protest by the party’s leader and vocal support for Kennedy among Austenasian politicians. The furor led to the prime minister joining the Imperial Party, which some anticipate could lead to a revival of partisan politics in the empire...
A short while ago, the Ministry of Finance published its annual reports following the end of the Adammic financial year on Saturday. The figures showed a budget deficit larger than anticipated, and, worryingly, a huge recession which has crippled the Adammic economy...
The Emperor made a visit to the home provinces over the past weekend during which he chaired the 67th meeting of the Ruling Council. Here, a surprise announcement was made: the plan to relocate Adammic central government from the old Yorkshire territories to new territories in Birmingham, originally slated for the New Year in the State Opening of Council speech last month, has been brought forward to late October...
