Duties
The main duty of the Striated Guards is patrolling borders and ensure security at the access-points to the national territory. In addition, intelligence and counter-terrorism assignments have been given to the body. It is made up of volunteers which are also rewarded in cash under certain circumstances. De facto it can be defined as a force of private police, or of mercenaries, at the service of the Central Protectorate.
