Malinovia (/mɑːl.iː.noʊv.iː.ʌ/), known professionally as the State of Malinovia, is a self-proclaimed sovereign state, known as a micronation, which is not recognized by any major geopolitical organization such as the United Nations. Its land claims consist of two private residences and a small island in the Columbia River, making up around 9 acres in total. It virtues environmental protection and world peace, among other things.
Malinovia's capital and largest city is Auroris, based at His Grace's home in northwest Florida.

Etymology
Meaning
The origin of the term "Malinovia" is disputed. Some say it was chosen at random, while others say it comes from a rough translation of "harmony" in Malinovian. Generally accepted as the most plausible, however, is that it comes from the surname of Rodion Malinovsky, Defense Minister of the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
Symbols
Flag
Malinovia's flag is an adaptation of the flag of the Kingdom of Dillonia, which existed from 23 May 2016 until 3 April 2018. The five black stripes represent the Five Pillars of Success; power, strength, authority, formality, and aggression. The four white stripes symbolize the original four provinces, Greater Auroris, Greater Calderonia, Eighteenmile Island, and West Esterfield, as well as safety, innocence, purity, and perfection. In the canton is a solid red rectangle with a gold fleur de lis, which came to signify life, loyalty, and honesty.
Anthem
The national anthem of Malinovia is a song by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, called Over the Rainbow, which was a cover of Judy Garland's 1939 version in The Wizard of Oz. The song is about hope, that bad times will soon be over. It was chosen as the national anthem on Kamakawiwo'ole's birthday, 20 May, due to its relatibility and positive message.

North Korea
His Grace has repeatedly revealed plans to travel to North Korea; however, this is not possible due to macronational restrictions on travel.
