Cooriengah was founded on 20 December 2010 as a Federal Republic and became a member of the Federated Republics of A1 on the same day. Sam Kirby was appointed to the position of Premier and Gordon Freeman became the First Secretary. Gordon left the micronational community on 13 May 2012. The republic was dissolved towards the end of July 2012, and the Federated Republics of A1 followed soon after in August of 2012. Not much else is known about the one and a half year history of Cooriengah.
Cooriengah consists of three counties. The counties are not connected; as such, one must travel briefly through Australian territory, which surrounds the kingdom to arrive in another county. The county of New Matraville is near the central sector of the Principality of Optima's Dayneville province.
The nation's second largest city is the capital, Ernek, which also includes the suburbs of Upper Ernek, Lower Ernek and South Ernek located in New Willow. The other main cities are Hugo and New Liverpool, the latter being the largest city in terms of size; however, it has a smaller population than Ernest.
Government and politics
The nation is ran locally by the republic's own independent government that manages local affairs. The government was run by an elected Premier, who then appointed a cabinet, usually from their own party, to assist them in their duties. Each of the cabinet members would be given a portfolio to manage, such as Finance or Defence. At its height, the government consisted of five members of the Cooriengahn Party and one independent.
As a Republic of A1, it did not conduct its own foreign relations; they were instead run by the central government of the Federated Republics of A1.
