Argadia is a Despotate of the Empire of Imvrassia.

History
It is located in Hellenic Republic and it was founded by the then Prince of Imvrassia Aggelos I as an administrative division of Imvrassia, as a Duchy and consists of one house. On 1 July 2016, after weeks of negotiation and strengthening the historic friendship between Imvrassia and Ruthenia, it was decided that the the Duchy of Argadia, would join the Empire. The status of the Duchy of Argadia was established to be equal to the other member states of the Empire, but strengthened the European side of the micronation, becoming the third state member of Karnia-Ruthenia established on the continent. On 08 May 2020, after the petition made to the Imperial Diet on late April, the right of secession was granted and Argadia became independent again.
Kingdom of Argadia
On 15 May 2020 Argadia proclaimed to the status of a Kingdom after a decision of the then its sovereign Duke Aggelos. After the upgrade of Argadia, the crown was offered to the Imvrassian Empress Aikaterini I and a personal union was formed with Imvrassia.
Union with Imvrassia
On 24 October 2020 Empress Aikaterini annexed Argadia into the Empire of Imvrassia as a Despotate administratively subordinate to the Praetorian Prefecture of Elladia.
Politics
Political History
The history of Argadia has so far been based on its accession to Karnia-Ruthenia as a Duchy. After the independence from Karnia-Ruthenia, it began a program with Hellenistic orientation and the upgrade to the status of a Kingdom.
The Monarch
First Monarch of Argadia was His Highness Prince Aggelos with the title of Duke. Aggelos is a member of the House of Imvrassia and so the Crown of Argadia is part of the Imvrassian's Royal Titles. After the upgrade of Argadia, it was desided for the Head of State to assume the title of Basileus. The crown was given to the Imvrassian Empress Aikaterini I and so Her Majesty became the new Monarch with the official style of the Basilissa of the Argadians and Protector of the Realm.
Government
The first Constitution of Argadia was published and entered into force on 15 May 2020 and defines constitutional monarchy and constituent states. The Council of State has the responsibility to exercise executive and legislative power jointly with the Monarch throughout the Realm.
The Government was composed by:
- Epi ton Pragmaton
The Epi ton Pragmaton supervise, coordinate and conduct all of the executive as Head of the Council of State and generally managing the day-to-day running of the Realm.
- Secretariat of State
It is responsible for publishing the decisions of the Council of State and to exercise supervision and administration over the Royal Guard.
- Secretariat of Internal Affairs and Technology
It is responsible for the internal functioning of the Realm, the supervision of the constituent states and everything that has to do with the internet and technological matters.
- Secretariat of Foreign Affairs
It is responsible for diplomatic relations of the Realm with other sovereign states and organizations.
- Secretariat of Finance
It is responsible for the proper and useful economic course of the Realm to promote social development.
- Secretariat of Culture
It is responsible for the design, advocacy, dissemination and protection of the principles and values of Hellenic Culture within the Realm.
Ideology of State
The political and cultural tradition of Argadia was influenced by that of Imvrassia and also by that of Ruthenia. After independence, Argadia focused on micronationalists inspired by ancient Greek history and especially by the Hellenistic years. This resulted in the political organization and the use of various titles, by the Hellenistic tradition as it was formed especially in the state of the Seleucids. The Monarch has the title of Basileus and the feminine counterpart is Basilissa. The title of Basileus used by Alexander the Great and his Hellenistic successors in Macedon, Ptolemaic Egypt, the Seleucid Kingdom, the Kingdom of Pergamon and non-Greek but Greek-influenced states like the Kingdom of Pontus. Another title of seleucid influence is for the Head of Government, who has the title of Epi ton Pragmaton (ελληνικά: Επί των Πραγμάτων) and he is the closest advisor of the Monarch and manager of royal affairs.
Administrative division
The Kingdom of Argadia was formed in a state, derived from the free and lasting union of its constituent states. The constituent states of the Kingdom of Argadia consist of a. The Royal Lands and b. The Alliance. The Royal Lands consists of the possessions of the members of the Royal House. This lands have the distinctive title of Archontia and their ruler receives the title of Archon. The Alliance includes constituent states that recognize the Monarch of Argadia as Sovereign and consists of two categories. The Politeia is the constituent state of the Realm with a democratic system of government and is headed by a Politarch who is elected by the General Assembly of Citizens. The Archontia is the constituent state of the Realm with a monarchical system of government and is headed by an Archon with a hereditary right of succession. The members of each Archon's House bear the title of Archon and Archontissa. Also in each Politeia could operates a legislative body under the distinctive title of the General Assembly of Citizens, chaired by the Politarch or other official of the local government.
